Ssso mucho energy in Youth... maybe these states will return... wise ones have told me to embrace what is now, without desire of Future or Past... still all the worldly desires plead their cases... greed... lust... power...  how happy is our President after fulfilling all of these?  LRH said it is madness which leads to sadness, the prospect of "inheriting the world"... JC said the meek shall inherit it... Lao Tzu said when one's work (dharma) is properly done, no one will even know who did it... surely, someone else will get the lion's share of credit than he/she who did...

The first time I met JM, we stared deeper into each other's eyes than I had with anyone in at least a decade... first words after "I know you" were regarding the infinite nature of the Self and Oneness... then, the months and years of agony in expecting my vessel or her's or, perhaps, anyone's to live up to such an ideal... better than a lifetime of false illusion?  probably, not... the Awakened Ones don't usually say one way is better... just that worldly reality is illusion...  yet the animal vessels evolved to survive in this wilderness... the vessels we all speak, think, act & feel through...

Peace in Silence is more profound now to me than any Shakti... The way of the heart is mysterious... it may lead to a flood of emotional overwhelmingness or a profound silence... both may be just a pure... I forget the Indian words... Raja and... the emotional way?  The heart opening?  I found these through Ram Dass leading me to Neem Karoli Baba... JM leading me to Eric to SP to Brock to Ramana Mahrashi... and his Holy Mountain of Self... and sacred silence which these words betray... Somewhere there's an infinite light... somewhere there's an infinite silence... of peace... truth... oneness...

Thank you Steve for making all of this possible

It is very nice to have your presence again Art. You carry much depth of wisdom with you have endured much suffering. That is why you are often serious. Paramahansa Yogananda used to tell us that God played the biggest joke on us of all by making us believe that where we are now is real and that we ourselves are. We take are ego identifications very seriously and real. Yet if we become too frivolous we loose our intunement to divine perception. We can often laugh when we see God's sense of humor actually start to be recognized in our lives.

It is a humbling perspective Steve,
Art, I too am very serious at times. Our hearts will open up to many through out this life, the more we learn to break down these walls which can be our own resistance to Love, the more we will see the divine spirit not just from those of our past but those serving actively in our present...
And it is, each expression a divine service-  Your Heart, a seeker of Truth, accepts the poison like a Blessing and transcends these pains into a wonderful thing... Perhaps a part of the Shakti? It is the expectation of experience that take away from these Blessings. It is true, we are evolved from mineral, plant and animal into man. This life of duality, material is just as real as the realms of heaven and spirit. Perhaps PY means to say, we are not just these bodies? Whatever the course, our internal compass will navigate us back to the One.
When we see all those interconnected and personable relationships, it would seem plausible one can't help but laugh in recognition of their role to Gods Will. My EGO still so very selfish, rightfully so- God knows this and so I smile LOL.  Grin
I am grateful for the learning experience this life readily provides. Still it is a great disservice to laugh or dismiss any ones plight when graced by their sincere expression. Hopefully we can bring those with us back to a lighter reality and heal these wounds, both inflicted and self-inflicted. Love is the answer. And As you say, Meditation and Silence is one of the most powerful tools we can utilize to rise above.
I hope we are graced by your presence again which is a blessing for others whether here at this Spiritual Portal or interacting out there with the great portrait of Life. After being prompted to this thread, you are in my prayers for Peace Love & Gratitude. _^_

Most authors don't know how their stories end, they can only see so far ahead- it is in this fluidity that makes a work Great. When we are bound by our own rigid nature to create any work of Art- those constrictions are experienced through out its creation and felt by others when observing the finished product; yet the Inspiration that comes to a painter, writer or musician in the midst of their work, he who works with this finds the end result greater than originally imagined.
