...However much of what you do during the day that registers in the conscious mind often comes out interpolated in dreams.

I agree, most often without a particular meaning as far as I could understand.

Mccoy i believe we need to look at dreams somewhat like music. It has a meaning of its own to each individual that is affected by it. This does not diminish its value. In the same way dreams have a personal meaning to each of us. They can have a very tangible meaning.

i channeled and then wrote this song from the inspiration of a dream;

i woke up this morning tryin to keep up with the pace
One realization there's a smile on my face
We take our own journey to see what what we have found
Reach for the starlite and wind our old world down.

In one unselfish moment. In one unselfish way.
Tell me what you goina do with your life
Tell me what you goina say

The golden glow of the sunset as the day settlin down
Let go of our worries...carried away by the sound
i hear a train in the distance it can carry me away
Beyond all the memories i find a peaceful place

i'm sittin alone now wonderin' where i'll go
all my hours are unfamiliar roads
all becomes clearer now
it appeared the other day
a mystical word now cleared the clouds away

Steve I split this post and believe a lot of what we experience is classified under Hypnagogia. Last night I woke up from the middle of a dream in a panic. My heart and breath were pounding and a white light was flashing with each breath until I woke up mentally screaming, "Sammy!" I checked the time on my phone and it was 2:33AM.

I read up on Hypnagogia and believe it is a word meant to describe what we talk about when entering sleep paralysis and experience other things like mentioned above,

Hypnagogia is the experience of the transitional state between wakefulness and sleep in humans: the hypnagogic state of consciousness, during the onset of sleep. Mental phenomena that occur during this "threshold consciousness" phase include lucid thought, lucid dreaming, hallucinations, and sleep paralysis.

I found the signs and symptoms very interesting. I seem to get the tetris effect from time to time too. If you notice it mentions even music and poetry is understood in rarer states. Look at the history of Hypnagogia too. They also reference meditation on the same page.

While it's interesting to see this as more common knowledge there's still so much we don't know... I found this pretty cool too,

I really do want to explore more in these realms but feel that fear is still a major hindrance. I hope to enter this state again tonight. I am home sick today which is odd seeing as I have no fever or any real reason to being sick. I am eating lots of carbs today too and I am usually low to no carb.
I'm sure there's a combination of things happening here but all very interesting to note.
