Yes, much like knowing your way around a dark room. If you know the room, you can walk around it easily... If you are unfamiliar with the room well, much more caution is taken as you worry you may run into something. I imagine it's the same when facing these irregular energetic phenomena... Maybe, if I experience this more the feeling of being anxious or scared will go away. I sure hope so... I'd like to keep experiencing these things. A good friend advised me to let the presence take over, if death is the worse that can happen to let it come. She said it is more likely I am not going to die and I'd be surprised what experience waits for me on the other side, should I accept the experience.
BTW, do you ever get annoyed when people stare at you? I do.
Your analogy of a dark room explains your feelings quite well. Tonite it is 8° in grand rapids. I need to practice with musicians tomorrow who i practiced with last nite so i chose to sleep at a rest area even though they offered to let me stay at their place. In a way it is a similar feeling-like being in a ice box. Yet as a yogi i have learned to be more detached. When a we are able to practice more detachment from your emotions it is possible to go into these situations quite untouched and explore more and more realms of this creation. Also it is helpful to bring the gurus and spiritual help we have as gaurdian protection where ever we go.
No Eric it does not make me feel uncomfortable to be starred at. I have been a performer for years so i am rather used to it.
