If the Hindu texts are anything like the Bible; a great portion is folklore. Just something someone wrote down for entertainment in their spare time. Amma who is a true living Master was asked; “Is the Bible true?” She responded; “some of it”.

Yes, I read bible and many hindu scriptures too and some  of the verses seems that writer had written this in his free time while smoking pot.  Cheesy

That is hilarious but I do think that people that were other then spiritual added a little drama here and there to fit there beliefs and also deleted things here and there that did not fit their beliefs😳 As you say some of it may have been drug induced and inspired🤪 this can be said about the Koran as well. I think we have to take the teachings into our laboratory of meditation and experience to find what rings true for us.
