For me it varies.
Sometimes I am processing something randomly and sometimes they reach out almost instantly after the thought.
Nothing has happened here instantly so perhaps it is wishful thinking; will have to be receptive to that idea also. I have been around many psychics in my life. It appears to be a talent like playing instruments and singing. One can develop musical skills but some have more of a natural proclivity for it. I would think that psychic talents are somewhat the same. One has to start somewhere but some of us have developed individual skills for many incarnations. Perhaps one of the beginning developments in developing psychic ability is being aware of hunches and flashes of intuition we have and how to interpret our intuitions; not taking them for granted or minimizing their significance. Instead trying to understand their purpose.
