Quote
MODERNIST. I suppose you don't interest yourself in the present political situation?

But I should like to know what you think. Do you thing the Labor Party will win the election?

SAGE. Whichever party comes to power, it certainly fulfills the law from above. The various parties seem different to our eyes, but there is His Will that is done, and His will that will be done. When we show preference for one party over the other, it is our limitation. Men group themselves into parties: when we see behind all different  parties there is one perfect whole, working out its destiny toward the fulfillment of the purpose of life.

MODERNIST. What do you think of the great wrong done the people by those at present in power?

SAGE. Those who wish to better conditions by fighting against all that is wrong often do a greater wrong. The more parties there are, the greater the disharmony. It is dividing one into many. It is by unity that the purpose of life in achieved.

MODERNIST. But what do you think of the people who have held wealth and high position for generations whilst depriving others of them?

SAGE. You are right. Every man must have his chance of attaining all that is good and worthwhile. But there are two ways of attaining. One way is to rob, and the other way is to earn. One earns by deserving it; one robs without deserving it. There must be a mutual goodwill on the part of those who possess something and of those who do not possess. Those who do not possess must deserve and earn it. Those who possess must make all sacrifices possible, in order that every man in the world may have his chance of prospering and rising in life. The undeserving one by robbing will never be able to enjoy and use his possession fully. For to possess and enjoy something one must earn it and deserve it.

MODERNIST. Do you think a sense of mutual goodwill can be aroused among the people in high position without strong measures?

SAGE. Every hurt and harm caused to another rebounds. Any slight destruction results in greater destruction. Man is born with a sense of justice in his innermost being. And if a just proposition is brought before him, sooner or later he must respond to it. Harmlessness is the principal thing in religion. Disharmony causes greater disharmony; it is harmony that results in peace.

MODERNIST. Thank you. I shall reflect upon it. (Gets up and goes.)

SPECULATOR. What did the fellow tell you?

MODERNIST. He does not speak my language. While we are thinking of fighting, he is thinking of peace

The Dalai Lama criticized President Donald Trump......

In an interview with the BBC published on Thursday, the Dalai Lama — the spiritual leader of Tibet —  said Trump had shown a “lack of moral principle” during his term as president.
“One day he says something, another day he says something, but I think lack of moral principle,” the 83-year-old leader said, before commenting on Trump’s campaign slogan during the 2016 campaign. “When he became president, he expressed America first. That is wrong.”

“America … should take a global responsibility,” he added.
One of the concerns the Dalai Lama pointed to was Trump’s handling of the immigration crisis on the southern border, which has left hundreds of migrant children in detention centers, separated from their parents.
“When I saw pictures of some of those young children, I was sad,” the Dalai Lama said.

In the fourth chapter ( of the Bhagavad-Gita) Lord Krishna reveals that He appears in this world to protect the principles of dharma and curtail the destructive influence of adharma: “Certainly whenever a decline of dharma occurs, O Bharata [Arjuna], and an uprising of adharma, I then manifest My Self. To deliver the saintly and vanquish the evil-doers, to reestablish dharma, I appear in every age.” (Bg. 4.7- Cool

It is clear in this context that a sadhu, a saintly or good person, is one who follows dharma, whereas an evil-doer, duskrit, is one who practices and promotes adharma. So Krishna Himself vows to reestablish dharma, upholding those who support dharma and vanquishing those who oppose it.

Thus the complete picture begins to emerge. An effective government must not only create laws but enforce them as well. Similarly, the Supreme Lord brings forth His law as dharma. When obedience to His law collapses and human beings propagate instead their own illicit “law,” the Lord descends to protect the good citizens of His kingdom, vanquish the outlaws who practice adharma, and reestablish in human society the prestige and power of His will.

We can now see why Arjuna’s initial argument, that to obey Lord Krishna and fight would go against dharma, cannot be correct. dharma is nothing but the Lord’s will. For Arjuna to fight, then, is true dharma.

With or without the Dalai Lama, the President will most always be criticized. Man, for the most part, is quick to judge his fellow even when given such little information to Know. What we don't know outweighs what we observe. The Sage was criticized by those he healed for accepting wine from the queen, by his students who professed their desire to be like him for his arrest over wrongful charges and even from his closest friends and family for simply being him. Strangers called him the bogeyman, there is plenty of judgement to go around no matter who you are but the wise will criticize themselves before accusing another.
The most important battle I've understood from the Bhagavad Gita is the inner-battle that takes place between King Ego vs King Soul. Here we learn that we are more than our senses- that nothing from the world around us is permanent and where to find true Happiness. It's a daily battle and we learn only one King can establish rule in this temporary mass we call a body. I will strive to criticize others less but willingly scrutinize myself for the sake of liberation. Gurunath has said President Trump may not be what people want but he's the president America deserves and I have Faith that God is in control. It is not my desire to battle anyone but the bad sense-habits within that blind me from realizing the Truth- to witness and experience God behind all things. Self peace for World peace is my call to action.

All can say is this Eric the man is no better than Adolph Hitler. I’m sure people also had something to say good about him also. I mean after all he liked his dog and word had it he was a vegetarian but he obviously had another side that everyone had to face and either let him continue or stop him. We are in a similar position with fuehrer Trump. We can let him lead us into the abyss  and destroy Mother Earth or stop him and get a leader with a vision for humanity. Someone to try to preserve our earth and be fair and helpful to those in need.

Amma told a story that reminds me of the condition that faces us ;

A jet was in the air and lost all contact with control tower. The pilot told the crew they did not know where they were, where they were going and they’re radar was also not working, so they had no navigation. But the pilot had good news for the crew: they we’re cruising along at the same speed and the pilot advised the crew to set back and enjoy the ride. We are in a similar situation in the world and specifically in the United States. We do not know where we are going, with no guidance to get there and no destination in site.
