Masters are beyond 'paths' and any sectarianism. If a Master becomes publicly known as teaching a certain  'path', it is the borgs (uneducated) creating dogmas around the Master and making a religion out of it. This is the reflective mirror of the state of human affairs since we forgot when it first happened.

'Paths' are layed out for humans to be followed. Yoga, as in Patanjali Sutra is named as the 'royal path'. Yogananda named it the airplane-route to God. This has been multiplying since, and the ones who know, do not necessarily 'speak'. The ones who speak, are not necessarily Masters. It takes a devotee to know a Master, and it takes a Master, to recognise a (true) devotee.

Hi Henry,
Thank you for the wisdom. As Art stated, there are different paths up the mountain. And we are definitely trekking this mountain called experience together. The basis of religion is a necessity in the souls evolutionary unwinding, blissful recessions into Absolute- the byproduct of religion has been mistaken as its essence, prompting suffering tenfold. When we lose sight of the unifying principle behind the various forms the gateway to the Heart shuts down and we erroneously enforce a standardized method to realization, blind to the beauty of distinction.
Is it wrong for an individual to practice a particular dogma? No. Every soul, in its varying degrees of understanding, desires Harmony. Sincerity and Beauty are the basis of religion, the rituals and techniques are tools to elevate one to Union with this intelligence. In the end, it's all experience.
I am fond of musicians and artist alike, music is very much religion. There are some who are so drawn to music they naturally desire to further their understanding of its allure and through out their journey create beautiful symphonies, where genuine expression of the Heart, communication with creation become manifest and move others into their own Truth.
It's important to remember, a rainbow is called such because of its many colors. Those who wish to enforce one standard in a world of distinction have lost sight of this truth. Religion is not an enemy but a doubled edged sword being juggled by children.
