compassion is a wonderful thing...
how so- can we feel for others?

...because we have been through it ourselves. in one sense or another, we've experienced- compassion.

how about- a deep awareness of and sympathy towards suffering?

whether we place it on ourselves- or connect with others... compassion is- and solely is because of our/its relation to experience
