SRF Lessons question

Dear all,

I am reluctant to ask this, because I think I know the answer, but when one has begun the sacred path of the SRF Lessons, is it frowned upon to continue reading around other philosophies and paths, even if we do not intend to follow them?

I ask because I have not yet signed up, and at the moment, although I predominantly read Yogananda's work, I have found myself reading a lot about Sufism and other paths...not with the intention of following them, but with the intention of understanding them.

Any advice would be appreciated,

Gods Teachers....there are many.  PY, Amma.....etc

i believe....that Guruji, wants with all of his heart...to see us succeed .  for Soul to Understand and Realize. 

some of that Realization may come from different Teachers of God......

every religion has Truth....such as every Master.

a few of the Masters whom i hold dear to my heart are eckhart tolle, paramahansa yogananda, christ,,,buddha.  also there are 'unrecognized Teachers'...whom i hold dearly to heart also....

i think, believe, dearest LTL...you are on the right Path....

if it were not for Masters listed above...i may not be where i am today, Spiritually.

you...have sincerity in your heart....that, right there......is what Counts

So, it is acceptable to read other texts, as well as the Lessons?

I would not want to 'displease' Yoganandaji in any way.

Guruji would never get upset when we are looking for Truth...

never gets upset much ,,,period 

Guruji....never puts boundaries on us...never.  such as God.

when a soul is ready..god lays upon soul a teacher(s)....

let me ask you Love....do you Love God ?  is God what you want ?

i believe...your answer is yes..

such as me.....god is what i craved...jesus, krishna, buddha, PY, other Teachers.....showed up in my life. 

there is Reason..why you were lead to Soul-Searching....there was Reason why PY has been brought to you...there are Reasons why i am before you posting right now.

you feel It in your Heart....yes ?

let no fear stand in your way LTL....

i see the soul/god in you....rest assured,,that Guruji does too !! 

i am only a soul whom helps other souls to God and Masters....

there have been many  Masters in my lifetimes....all have played an important role.....such as you are an important role to me, LTL,,and maybe i play some important role in your life too...

is this not....a wonderful thought   i think so...
